1. Choose No
Do not let the player or rekordbox delete or rebuild the Device Library on the damaged USB. Safely remove the USB and keep it unchanged until you have copied it.
2. Check the USB before repair
- Confirm
PIONEER/rekordbox/export.pdbis still present. - Confirm the audio files are still on the USB.
- Check whether a CDJ still shows any tracks or playlists.
- Check whether
PIONEER/USBANLZanalysis files are still present.
Here, Device Library means the older USB export built around export.pdb. Device Library Plus and OneLibrary are different database formats, not the same repair target.
3. Start LastCUE and generate a preview
Open LastCUE, select the USB root, PIONEER, rekordbox, export.pdb, or a copied backup folder, then generate a repair preview first. Review the recovered playlists, track list, cue points, and analysis references before running the repair.
4. Repair, then replace files safely
When the preview looks right, run Safe Repair. LastCUE writes a candidate output folder only; it does not overwrite the source USB by default. Test on a separate USB or clone first, then copy the repaired PIONEER/rekordbox/export.pdb back to the same path. If LastCUE generated PIONEER/USBANLZ, copy that folder too so cue, loop, beatgrid, waveform, and preview data have the best chance to stay usable.
5. Direct replacement is optional
LastCUE also has a direct USB overwrite option. It stays off by default and is an explicit advanced mode: when enabled, LastCUE generates the candidate first, backs up the target USB’s PIONEER folder as PIONEER_BACKUP_*, then overwrites the USB. That backup is not a substitute for an independent copy; use direct overwrite only after you have backed up and confirmed the correct test USB.
